Description:
Face-to-Face courses are delivered in a traditional classroom setting. Students are required to attend all scheduled class sessions in person at a designated campus location, such as a classroom, laboratory, or clinical site. While instructional materials and resources may be available in the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), physical attendance is mandatory for all scheduled meetings.- Key Characteristics:
- 100% of direct instructional contact hours occur in a physical classroom or campus setting.
- Canvas may be used to supplement instruction, but online activities do not replace required in-person attendance.
- Students must attend all scheduled in-person sessions as outlined in the course schedule.
- International Student Eligibility: Face-to-face programs and courses meet F-1 visa requirements for in-person instruction.

Description:
A Hybrid course combines required, scheduled in-person instruction with structured online learning activities. The in-person component is a central and mandatory part of the course design, while online elements supplement and extend classroom learning.Key Characteristics:
- At least 50% of instructional contact hours occur through required, regularly scheduled, in-person classroom meetings.
- Online components are academically substantive and designed to reinforce and extend face-to-face instruction.
- Mandatory in-person attendance is required for scheduled meetings.
- International Student Eligibility: Hybrid courses meeting this definition are classified as in-person for visa compliance purposes.
(Please note, a course scheduled as Hybrid must meet in a standardized time pattern. International students must attend in person class times.)

Description:
An Online (Asynchronous) course is delivered entirely online with no required in-person meetings. Instruction is facilitated through the Canvas LMS, and student’s complete activities and assignments within established deadlines. Faculty interaction occurs through email, announcements, discussion forums, chat, or other online tools. Optional live (synchronous) sessions may be offered but are not required.Key Characteristics:
- 100% of instructional content can be completed online with no required in-person class meetings.
- Instruction is primarily asynchronous, allowing students to engage with materials on their own schedule while meeting weekly deadlines.
- Optional synchronous sessions may be offered but are not required for course completion.
- Non-instructional in-person requirements (e.g., practicums, residencies, internships, orientation) are permitted for graduate programs if disclosed at the time of enrollment.
- International Student Eligibility: Fully online programs are not eligible to issue F-1visas. F-1 students enrolled in in-person programs may apply no more than 3credits of online coursework per term toward full-time status.
